You will learn Arabic letter recognition, correct pronunciation, Makharij, Harakat, letter joining, and introductory reading signs such as Tanween, Sukoon, and Shaddah. The course also includes guided practice to help you apply these skills when reading simple words and Quranic text.
The time required depends on the student’s starting level, age, lesson frequency, and practice between classes. Your teacher can assess your progress and recommend a realistic learning pace rather than setting the same completion time for every student.
Once you can recognize Arabic letters and read basic Quranic text at the required level, you can move on to a Quran reading course. If you already read the Qur’an and want to improve pronunciation and apply Tajweed rules more accurately, your teacher may recommend a Tajweed course.
